Camelphat's "The Quad" is one of my favourite GU records this year. That piano just gets me. Every time. And the groove is something else. SOOO GOOOOOD!
And so, since I can, I've set up this remix package so I can get my paws on it. The first thing I wanted to do was add a vocal. Now, don't worry, I've not gone and murdered a perfectly good instrumental dance track covering it up with an OTT screamer (the kind that ruined so many good club hits in the 90s & 00s) but I have added a couple of wee cheeky lifts that should bring out an old school smile in you. I've also turbo-charged the bassline and added some heavyweight thump to the kick. It worked a treat at the GU party in Glasgow on Saturday and hopefully it'll work for you.
